About The North Face

Established in the San Francisco in 1968 The North Face as it came to be known only really took off big time in the late 1990's and early 2000's. This was mainly due to the Wilderness chic fashion scene whereby hiking or walking clothing gear started to merge in to mainstream fashion. The name The North Face derives from the fact that the northern side of a mountain in the northern hemisphere is the hardest to claim.
